How do I receive and sign a proposal?

A business has sent you a proposal, which is their offer for the work they'll do, what it costs, and an agreement to sign. Everything happens on one page, so you can review, sign, and pay your deposit in a few minutes. Here's how it works.

Open your proposal

You'll receive a link by email or text, or directly from the business. Tap or click it to open the proposal in your browser. There's nothing to download or install.

Review what's included

Scroll through the proposal to see what's being offered:

  • An overview of the project and the business you're working with.
  • The line items, the services included and what each costs.
  • Any optional add-ons the business has offered. You can turn these on or off, and the total updates instantly so you always see what you'll actually pay.
  • A deposit, if one is required to get started.
  • The contract terms.

When you're ready to accept, you'll sign right on the page. You can either:

  • Draw your signature with your mouse or finger, or
  • Type it.

Either way, you'll enter your full name to confirm it's you.

Accept and pay

After you sign, you'll accept and pay your deposit in the same step. Once your payment goes through, the proposal is finalized.

You'll get a confirmation email with a signed PDF of the full proposal for your records. The business gets the same copy, so you're both working from the same agreement.

FAQ

Do I need a Titus account to view or sign?
No. The link opens your proposal directly, no account or login needed.

The page says the proposal was updated. What do I do?
The business made a change after you opened it. Refresh the page to load the latest version, then review and sign that one.

I'm not ready to accept yet, what happens?
Nothing changes until you sign and pay, so you can close the page and come back to the same link later. If the proposal has an expiration date, you'll get a reminder before it lapses. If you have questions or don't want to move forward, reach out to the business directly.

Is my payment secure?
Yes. Payments are processed securely through Titus, the same way invoices are handled.
