How does a project's de-stage date work?
See what the de-stage date is and how it stops renewal charges once staging furniture leaves a home.
What it is
The de-stage date is the day your staging comes out of a project. In Titus, its only job is to stop future renewal charges once the home is no longer staged.
No de-stage date set → renewals charge normally.
Setting it
Set it on the project details page — edit the de-stage date, pick a day, save. One date per project; a new date overwrites the old.
Only editable from the project page (unlike the installation date).
The rule
A renewal charge only goes through if its charge date falls before the de-stage date.
Example - today is Aug 13, next renewal charge is on Aug 20:
- De-stage Aug 21 → Aug 20 charge goes through.
- De-stage Aug 19 → Aug 20 charge is stopped.
- De-stage Aug 20 (same day) → also stopped.
- De-stage Aug 21 → clear de-stage date → Aug 20 charge goes through.
Changing or clearing it
When a change pauses or resumes the next charge, Titus asks you to confirm first:
- Pausing → confirm the upcoming charge will stop.
- Resuming (push the date out or clear it) → Titus shows the next charge date and shifts it out far enough that the customer still gets their normal reminder first.
Suppressed periods aren't billed and the customer isn't emailed for them.
