What happens when I add someone as a user to my business account?

When you add a user to your Titus account, they’ll immediately receive both an SMS message with a link to join your business account.

What the invited user will see

If they already have a Titus account

They can simply click the invitation link, and your business will automatically be added to their existing Titus account. No additional setup is required.

If they are new to Titus

They’ll be guided through the account creation process, including identity verification, before being automatically added to your business account.

Roles and permissions

The role you assign determines what the user can access within your business account. Roles can be updated at any time by going to:

Settings → Users

Available roles

  • Admin
    Access to most areas of the business account, excluding sensitive settings and bank account access.
  • Super Admin
    Full access to the business account, including bank account information and sensitive account settings.

Troubleshooting invitation issues

Didn’t receive the text message?

Check the following:

  • Confirm the phone number is a valid U.S. number with the correct country code
  • If the user has T-Mobile service, messaging restrictions may be blocking delivery
  • Contact Titus Support if the text does not arrive

Need to resend the invitation?

Go to your team settings, locate the user, and select “Resend Invite.”

Will users receive a text message if they opted out of SMS?

No. Users who previously opted out of Titus text messages by replying STOP will not receive the SMS invitation. To receive one, they'll first need to opt back in by replying START to any Titus text message — once they have, you can resend the invite to trigger a new SMS.

Can I change a user’s role later?
Yes. User roles can be updated anytime from the Team settings page.

Does every user need identity verification?
New Titus users may be required to complete identity verification during account setup.
