What is auto-pay? Can I turn it off?
Auto-Pay Is Enabled by Default for Eligible Loans During Loan Setup
For eligible loans, auto-pay is now enabled by default during the application process. On the loan setup screen, you’ll see the auto-pay option already selected.
Why auto-pay is enabled by default
Auto-pay helps borrowers stay current on payments and reduces the risk of missed payments or late fees. After testing this experience, we found that more customers successfully enrolled in auto-pay when it was pre-selected, leading to fewer overdue accounts and fewer unexpected charges.
Don’t want auto-pay?
You can simply uncheck the auto-pay option before submitting your application.
If you decide later that you’d like to use auto-pay, you can enable it anytime through your customer portal.
Changing auto-pay later
Auto-pay can be turned on or off at any time from your customer portal. You’ll find the setting within your loan details or payment preferences.
FAQ
Which payment method does auto-pay use?
Auto-pay uses the debit card you provided during loan setup. You can update your payment method at any time.
What happens if an auto-pay payment fails?
You’ll receive a notification if a payment cannot be processed. The missed payment will then follow the normal overdue process. Updating your payment method promptly can help prevent additional failed payments.
