Why isn't my business showing up in my clients search results?

Only businesses that have completed Titus account verification will appear in customer-facing searches and directories. If your business has not finished verification, it will not be visible to homeowners, agents, or businesses selecting disbursement recipients.

Why verification is required

Verification helps confirm that businesses on Titus are legitimate, active, and authorized to receive payments through the platform.

Restricting visibility to verified businesses helps:

  • Protect customers and partners
  • Ensure payouts are sent securely
  • Maintain trust in the Titus business directory

How to complete verification

To finish verification:

  1. Sign in to your Titus Dashboard
  2. Review your verification status from either:
    • The verification banner on your dashboard home page
    • Settings → Account

  3. Complete any missing requirements

Typical verification requirements include:

  • Legal business name and TIN/EIN
  • Connected bank account for payouts
  • Identity verification for the business owner or responsible party

Once all information has been submitted, most verifications are completed within one business day. You’ll receive an email confirmation when your account has been fully verified.

What happens while your business is unverified

While your account is still pending verification:

  • You can continue creating invoices and charging customers you add manually
  • Existing customers can still pay you directly

However, your business will not appear in:

  • Agent searches
  • Homeowner searches
  • Partner directories
  • Direct disbursement selection screens

FAQ

I’m verified but still not showing up in searches. Why?
Search visibility can also be affected by factors such as service area settings, location configuration, or account status (for example, if the account is paused). Contact Titus Support if you need help reviewing your visibility settings.

Does verification expire?
Verification does not have a fixed expiration date. However, if important business details change — such as ownership, bank account information, or your TIN/EIN — Titus may require your account to be reverified.

Will this affect customers I already work with?
No. Existing customers can still find and pay your business directly. Verification only impacts visibility in customer-facing searches and directories.
